What is a Puzzlement?

Just a quickie after my return from holiday heaven with the family. These are just a few things that just made me go Hmmmmmmmm this weekend...

1) You know that verse in the bible that says it's harder to get a camel through the eye of a needle and such? Well, what people don't know is that there is an actual place in Israel that is a rock formation called the Eye of the Needle and you truly can't get a camel through there. Lot's of people reading the bible just don't have the information that can change the context of a whole verse.

2) I have tired to be a friend not a mother to your brother. So before I do anything I ask myself, would a friend do this? Would a friend call you up at 5:30am on your cell to tell you you're late for work? (Keep in mind she's in the same house call him in his room on his cell)Yes. Would a friend ride him to make sure he pays his bills? Yes. And would a friend not tell him how he needs to call his worried mother when she is worried about him coming in late? I should think so!

3) Koiboy's Mom: I'm not prejudice but I told him he was treating me like a n****** slave!

4) (sobbing) I just hope my grandchildren and even my children realize after I'm gone that Nana disciplined and was controlling because she loved them all so very much.

5) We were so afraid that someone would call you a n***** when you were a baby, so we made it fun for you by saying "Look at your cute little n****** toes or fingers" while we played with them. That way if someone said it to you when you got older, (bear in mind I'm ASIAN) you would not be afraid and find it funny and cute.

So that was my QVC Christmas fueled by abandonment issues, unbridled empty nest syndrome and a lot of sugar treats piled in the middle of the table. The upside is I got the waffle iron I wanted and got out of town for a little while. The rest I just found funny and cute.
